We are re-opening from Saturday 4th July

Doors open 12.00 midday time will be at 9pm, Sunday 5th July 12.00 – 9pm. We are planning to open Friday, Saturday and Sundays in the immediate future, times tba dependant on demand.

Below you will find details of the main rules we have had to apply to open, although I must warn you that the government does constantly update and change the regulations. We do not want these rules any more than you do but they are necessary to keep people safe. This will be the new normal for the foreseeable future so please support us and understand why this is all being done. It is a big step in getting back to a more normal world, please support us.

The Governments Covid-19 guidelines all 43 pages, plus additional pages of guidance for entertainments will be enforced. These guidelines are for customers and staff safety and must always be adhered to. Please take notice of any requests by our staff it is for your and their safety so please do not take offence.

On arrival

On arrival you will be shown to a table, some tables have been pre-booked (members only) pre-booked tables will only be held for 15 minutes after your booking time. We have various tables for 4 and 6 people, 6 is the maximum that can be seated together and there can only be a maximum of 2 households on any one table. All our chairs, tables and outside benches have been spaced according to the guidelines and are not to be moved. Our seating capacity in the main bar is 68 persons and 15 in the members only bar and standing indoors is not currently permitted. We do have plenty of outside seating but once our capacity is met, we will have to turn you away. Members will be required to check in and confirm that we have the correct contact information, this is a government requirement and there can be no exceptions.

We are welcoming our friends and neighbours to our opening weekend as our guests, you will need to be signed in by a member and pay a 50p guest fee. We will also ask you to complete a form giving us your name and contact details as required by the govt for their track and trace programme. Contact details will be kept securely for 21 days and then destroyed

There will be no service or standing at the bar, please be patient and wait for one of our staff to come to your table and take your order. Look out for our order and pay app coming soon.

Your order will be poured by the bar staff and one person per party can collect and pay for your drinks at one of the collection points. Payments by card please, cash will entail additional cleaning procedures, card payments will take preference over cash and will result in you being pushed further back in the queue.

We are still offering takeaway drinks please bring your clean empty milk container for filling, this will be at current till prices.

Keeping you safe

We are operating a one-way system inside please follow the direction as indicated by the feet markers, and if going outside please exit by the side fire door.

There will be various hand sanitiser stations around the club and outside and there are hand washing facilities in the toilets.

Our toilets will be ‘one in one out’ in both the ladies and gents, please see the indicator lights in the main bar area, respect other peoples’ space and be patient, the toilets in the member only bar will have a vacant/engaged manual signal.

Children must be kept seated and kept under control at all times and accompanied by an adult to the toilets, government rules not ours so please don’t take it out on our staff it’s not their fault ,they are only enforcing the rules to make it a safe place for everyone. We will have no alternative than to ask you to leave if these rules are broken.. Unfortunately, the toy box has had to be removed to prevent cross contamination, we will provide drawing pads and crayons but any other toys etc must be brought on the day and taken home when you leave.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead while on club property.

We are advised that anything that leads to raised voices is not allowed as it increases the droplets expelled and risk of infection. The jukebox is still available (it’s been updated so you can now pick your tunes and pay via an app on your phones) but only as background music so please don’t ask the staff to tun it up, it’s not allowed!

We are still waiting for clarification on the showing of live football, the rules about raised voices etc. that have been imposed is causing doubts about whether we will be allowed to go ahead. There will be an update on Facebook as soon as we are sure.

We are unable to open our kitchen at the moment under the guidelines kitchen staff and bar staff are not allowed to occupy the same zones, with our layout this is unworkable and means the kitchen will be have to remain closed until further notice. We have a street food van coming to our car park this Saturday from midday for our customers and passing trade, The Giddy Goose and it sounds delicious. Click here to view menu.

Meat raffle and games

We are unable to offer our usual weekend meat raffles and the pool table is currently closed and is stored out of the main bar area. All team games Darts, Crib, Snooker and Bingo are also suspended pending government guidelines.

After all that we will try not to be the ‘fun police’ but the government rules are very extensive with the purpose of protecting both staff and customers. We have been advised there will be spot checks by the police and licencing authority, we have no option but to comply.

We hope to see you on the 4th July to celebrate “Warsash Independence Day” 😊

Our rooms are available for hire (discounted for members), to find out more please
